What October looks like for Sustainable Nation

The Year of Sustainable Business 2018 has seen a remarkable number of events and initiatives take place this year with the corporate sustainability and green finance agenda front and centre.

In addition to the two dinners at Ireland’s embassy in London and at Canada’s embassy in Dublin, there are a number of other upcoming activities worth noting in October:

As part of its mandate, Sustainable Nation Ireland will continue to support and develop international links including attendance at an Irish-Hong Kong Green Finance roundtable and at a meeting of the UN-established Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) network.

 

Key dates:

16thOctober:

Irish-Hong Kong Green Finance roundtable and Memorandum of Understanding signing with leading Hong Kong green finance figures, Sustainable Nation Ireland and Minister Michael D’Arcy, TD.

18th& 19thOctober:          

UN Financial Centres for Sustainability (FC4S) second 2018 meeting. Shanghai Green Finance City, with all 20 founding members. Sustainable Nation Ireland CEO Stephen Nolan will represent Dublin and also attend in his role as advisor to the FC4S and head of FC4S Europe.

 

22ndOctober:

Ethical Finance Conference, Edinburgh, Scotland. Sustainable Nation Ireland will take part in panel discussions
