The humanitarian work of Irish charity Haven in hurricane and earthquake-ravaged Haiti will be recognized tomorrow at a major one-day event focused on sustainability, skills and investment.
Sustainable Nation Ireland will welcome Haven as its official charity at the Sustainability Gathering, held in Dublin from November 21.
The event will bring together more than 300 hundred established businesses, investors, policy-makers and start-ups.
Haven will feature as Sustainable Nation Ireland’s official charity all through next year’s Year of Sustainable Business 2017.
The Sustainability Gathering will discuss and showcase the many ways that Irish businesses can grab a share of the estimated €85 trillion which will be invested in global sustainability and resource efficiency by 2030.
Haven chairman Mr. Leslie Buckley commented: “Haven is honoured to be chosen by Sustainable Nation Ireland as their charity partner of the year.
“Sustainability is mainstreamed throughout all of Haven’s activities in Haiti, where we embed the same ethos as Sustainable Nation Ireland for smart investments.
