Co-hosted by Ireland’s Sustainable & Responsible Investment Forum (SIF Ireland) and CDP Ireland, we are delighted to welcome Jane Ambachtsheer, Partner, Mercer Investments and also a member of the Financial Stability Board’s Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Jane will provide an overview of the TCFD recommendations along with her insights on future developments in this area. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A with Jane after she speaks, followed by an opportunity for networking. To read more about Jane click here.
One of the most significant, and perhaps most misunderstood, risks that organizations face today relates to climate change. The TCFD is an industry-led initiative that has developed a set of recommendations for voluntary consistent climate-related financial risk disclosures for use by companies in providing information to investors, lenders, insurers, and other stakeholders. With the EU publicly supporting the recommendations and looking at a review of its regulations and legislation, as well as increasing pressure from the investor community, companies need to be prepared to disclose information on the financial risks and opportunities that climate change creates.
This event should be of interest to Irish listed companies and the Irish subsidiaries of international listed companies, along with other leading members of the Irish business community, policymakers and regulators.
