40for30

The 40for30 Sustainable Business Leaders Network is an action led network of 40 business leaders championing the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. A group of committed and ambitious sustainability professionals they collaborate to position sustainability at the top of the business agenda in Ireland.

40for30 provides support for sustainability professionals endeavoring to make a real impact within their organisations. We believe that our members are positive change agents for Irish business.

40for30 supports leadership development and equips members to articulate the importance of sustainability, increasing the understanding of what sustainable business means and how to achieve it through practical, transformational steps.

Impact

40for30 aims to have an impact across 3 main areas:

  1. Developing influential leaders through sharing expertise and developing leadership capabilities.
  2. Developing the catalysts (the“why”) for Irish industry, which needs a better and more defined reason to take action.
  3. Making it easier for Irish corporates and policymakers to identify the push/pull factors, industry specifics, and policy best-practice for sustainability.

In 2018

In 2018 the 40for30 will host a series of social and workshop style events to structure the conversation and encourage collaboration between members.

It will also promote the Year of Sustainable Business 2018, another initiative of Sustainable Nation Ireland, which aims to broker dialogue between the public and private sector, to enable mobilisation of private sector investment and innovation both in Ireland and globally, leading to economic opportunities for Irish businesses. This will be done through roundtable discussions with public sector representatives.
